On Smiling

Do not tell me to smile.  Do not say ‘smile, it might not happen’  Do not say ‘smile, it could be worse’.

Doing so makes you an asshole.

And you know something?  It’s predominately men who act this way.  Men and ultra-conservative women.

Just because I happen to have breasts does not mean I am required to be ‘pretty’ for you.  My vagina does not mean that there is nothing important going on in my life.  A uterus does not mean that I’m easily distracted and shouldn’t worry my poor little brain.

You do not have the right to dictate my mood or facial expression.

Newsflash:  I am a person.  I have thoughts, feelings, emotions, and a life.

As for the bitch who told me I should apologize for referring to the asshole who told me to smile as an asshole, please die in a fire.  You see, he did his little male power trip less than two hours after I got the phone call telling me they’d found my sister’s body.

Yeah.  That’s not the kind of thing that inspires a smile in a normal human being.

Go fuck yourself, you ignorant twat.

About Kinda Strange

I am a student at the University of Phoenix majoring in information technology. This is where I come to babble incoherently…err…make notes, talk about things that catch my interest, share ideas, etc...
